The New York Times called it “an anthem for our time” and the European Capital of Culture Eleusis together with the World Human Forum made it their program highlight: the concert and choreographic performance created by Jochen Sandig and Sasha Waltz set in the ancient sanctuary of Eleusis. Where once the “Eleusian Mysteries” were celebrated, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem is transformed into an extraordinary ritual featuring the Rundfunkchor Berlin, soprano Marlis Petersen, baritone Benjamin Appl and dancers from Sasha Waltz & Guests.

Special guests:
Sasha Waltz, choreographer
Jochen Sandig, director
Stephan Talneau, director
Alexandra Mitsotaki, president of the World Human Forum
Members of the Rundfunkchor Berlin
