European Cultural Heritage Summit 2021 “For a New European Renaissance”

Europa Nostra hosted a very special 2021 edition of the European Cultural Heritage Summit at the Giorgio Cini Foundation in the World Heritage City of Venice that took place from 21 to 24 September. The Venice Summit is a new occasion to celebrate excellence in cultural heritage skills, and to discuss Europe’s recovery and its future. The Summit mobilized  representatives of the wider heritage community from across Europe and beyond, including civil society organizations; local, regional, national and European authorities; international organizations; policy-makers at all levels; young heritage professionals, students as well as heritage volunteers and enthusiasts.

The World Human Forum, was invited at the High-Level Policy Agora discussion “From the New European Bauhaus to the New European Renaissance”. The European Heritage Policy Agora, “From the New European Bauhaus to the New European Renaissance”, brought together policy-makers at all levels as well as key heritage stakeholders in a series of high-level debates on the most topical issues for the cultural heritage ecosystem in Europe. The conversation was based on the firm conviction that, while we jointly promote a New European Bauhaus, we also ought to aspire to a New European Renaissance; one shall indeed lead to the other.
