Kyriakos Topouzis was born in Athens, Greece. At an early age, his harsh experiences during the German Occupation of Greece, led him to deeply respect and assist his fellow men, always working towards the common good. In his first teen years, thanks to his mediation, three hundred sixty Athenian citizens escaped their transfer to concentration camps in Germany.
Since the late 1940s, he began working in the field of electronics and electrotechnics. Parallel to that, he continued his high school studies at the evening high school, from where he graduated.
Since 1985 he has dedicated himself to the public service, also continuing his early engagement with the scout movement and the church.
