How we work
The World Human Forum brings together doers and thinkers from all around the globe to explore and share solutions to the challenges the world faces and support the emergence of new responses.
Its approach is holistic, as it garners contributions from a broad spectrum of disciplines that directly impact human life and society, and touch our minds, bodies and hearts. Some of the brightest minds in philosophy, science, education and economic development will join artists, spiritual leaders, organic farmers, social entrepreneurs and other thoughtful, creative agents of change in the pursuit of a common goal.
The World Human Forum fosters a bottom-up approach, where individuals feel responsible for making the world a better place and directly contribute to the emergence of new solutions.
As well as focusing on concrete action, the World Human Forum also investigates the deep causes of our current systemic crisis. At the heart of the human journey it considers the evolution of individual consciousness and its impact on the world we live in.
The World Human Forum cultivates a participatory approach throughout its activities; facilitating the process of deep change it envisions through collective efforts and intelligence. We consider all those already involved but also all those to come as equal partners of this new endeavor of social and political transformation.
We consider financial independence and accountability as cornerstones. Although open to synergies and collaboration with all entities we are determined to limit our funding to foundations and individual donations.
Equity and equality are essential for enabling creativity, facilitating collective intelligence release and last but not least enhancing of trust.
These elements should increase the efficiency and effectiveness of working in such a transformative project that involves systemic changes.

The project for the creation of a World Human Forum has started as a small citizen initiative in 2015.
Its fast growing momentum perfectly reflects the worldwide awareness that governments and big hierarchical institutions -whether corporate or nonprofit organisations- cannot address the magnitude of social and environmental challenges presently faced by humanity.
The awakening of an increasing number of creative individuals, determined to play an influential role in constructing the meta capitalist society, is a remarkable phenomenon of our times. Far from building it as a big centralised one-off event, our vision of the World Human Forum is that of an ongoing process embodied by a multitude of happenings all over the world (meetings, performances, lectures, conferences, visits, learning expeditions, virtual events etc) sharing the same methods, values and analysis and serving the same purpose: transforming singular initiatives into best practices which in turn will contribute in constructing public policies suited to new challenges.
More specifically the World Human Forum will provide a greatly needed point of reference and an umbrella for all those initiatives, in different domains (technology, education, arts, economics, philosophy, personal development etc), clearly showing that responsible, imaginative, self-empowered citizens acting in various fields to invent new solutions and alternatives to the multitude of problems our society is facing, can indeed greatly contribute in building a better world.
The method of small meetings underlining the importance of human connections of trust and friendship, based on altruism and empathy will make the World Human Forum a very unique meeting-point which will unleash immense capacity for a vastly diverse number of people who share common values & beliefs. This holistic approach which integrates all parts of the human being (rational but also spiritual and emotional) is particularly important and urgent nowadays, especially because of the current debates and controversies on Artificial Intelligence.
With its particular approach, the World Human Forum will send a strong message to the “silent majority” of people, encouraging and urging them to participate actively in the required change process. It is our deep belief that inspiration, practical models to follow and easy entry modes, will drive much more people to follow the path, progressively transforming small initiatives into a mainstream process.
Starting such a project from Europe and more specifically from Greece where democracy was invented, gives it a philosophical and historical justification. Delphi, the centre of the ancient world where people were going for advice from its famous oracle, will once again become a third space. Democracy needs to be reinvented. Know thyself – self-reflection, responsibility and participation of each individual human being are the new departure points. Well-formulated questions matter more than easy answers…
It is our firm belief as well as that of many potential partners we have been in contact with, that the need for a World Human Forum is huge and urgent. What might appear today as a small initiative can quickly develop into a worldwide project that will effectively contribute to the building of a better human society.
